Hey, we're Kind Buds

A real brand built on telling the truth.

A thousand products, a hundred sketchy brands, zero straight answers. We started Kind Buds to fix that — to read the lab reports, grade the companies behind the labels, and help you buy with your eyes open. We're not a dispensary and we're not for sale. We're just your buds.

The 20-second finder

Not sure what to buy? Tell us how you want to feel.

Skip the thousand products and the weird names. Answer a few quick questions and we'll match you to a vetted pick that actually fits — calm, sleep, focus, or a clean buzz.

The Brand Files

We grade the brands, so you know who you're buying from.

Independent, sourced investigations into the biggest hemp & THC companies — who owns them, who makes the product, how they lab-test, and what their record really is — scored on one transparent system.

A

Brand File

Charlotte's Web

The most transparent brand we've scored, and our first A: a publicly traded (SEC/SEDAR), USDA-certified-organic, B-Corp company that grows its own hemp and posts named-lab, full-panel, QR-accessible batch COAs. The only drags are old and resolved — a 2017 FDA letter and a dismissed consumer suit.

C

Brand File

Koi CBD

A genuinely transparency-forward veteran: named family founders, a public ISO-accredited lab, and an independent Top-10 transparency ranking. A solid C — held back by two FDA warning letters (a 2019 marketing-claims letter and an individual 2023 delta-8 adulteration letter, both agency allegations), two old consumer suits, and independent tests showing it over-labels potency about a quarter of the time.

F

Brand File

Diamond CBD

A real, identifiable company whose corporate structure is unusually well-documented (it was a public filer) — but with the most adverse verifiable record in these files and below-best-practice lab transparency. The F reflects that record and those gaps, framed precisely: nearly everything adverse is historical, disputed, or settled.

F

Brand File

Cake

Not one company but a contested trademark buried under counterfeits — the legitimate owner won a landmark federal case, but there's no single official site, no open named-lab COAs, and a journalist found one circulating 'Cake' COA that appeared to be forged. As a buyer, you often can't verify what you have.

Best THC Drinks for Beginners (2026): Start Low, Sip Slow

A THC drink looks and tastes like any other can in the cooler — which is exactly the trap. They come on slower than you'd guess, so people slam a second and get walloped. These are the gentlest, most precise, easiest-to-pace drinks to start with.
